This year also we celebrated the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi with great mirth. All the members of our mandal bring the statue of Ganesh. We choose five feet heigh statue of Ganesh Lord for mandal. The statue was very attractive. The colours of Ganesh statue attracts the people. The statue brought in full lezim (A type of dance that specially famous in Maharashtra) with songs. It was set on a stage. The stage was decorated with full of lights and sound effects.

Different programs such as dancing, singing and mimicry were arranged. All the program provided the enjoyment to the all people of mandal. Everyday different competitions were held. I loved singing songs and I am found of singing. Therefore I participated in singing competition. We arranged many programs that actually laugh people.

I sang the song and all the audience clapped for me and gave me some money for increasing my stage daring. last day was the day of prize distribution. The prizes distributed for best performers. I was rewarded first prize, I get golden medal and certificate by the president of the central Ganesh Mandal.
Last Day of Ganesh Chaturthi - Visarjan
On the last day the statue was taken out in a procession. Lots of people participated in that procession. We reached at the river at 6 p.m. After the Pooja function, all youths immersed in the river with shouts of "Ganapati Bappa Moraya". And this procedure is called as visarjan.
